A question: let's say you meet someone at a bar. You inquire about their profession. Is there any profession they could say that would make you like them less than if they said "I'm a police officer"? Illegal professions like child killer are not allowed. The only answer I can think of is lobbyist.

I respect some police, for example, detectives like Jimmy McNulty.
